I've been actively using the notorius Vista for a month now. It was pre-installed on the laptop, the retailer didn't offer XP as an alternative. I feared for the worst. The rumor among techies has it that you lose your soul after installing it. So far, nothing out of the ordinary; one blue screen of death, some total tilts. No other problems, whatsoever.
Ok, I must admit I've only tried things that a typical office worker would do, maybe Photoshop Elements being the only real work required from the OS. But, after this kind of use, I'm afraid I'll have to give Vista a thumbs up. Very sorry, my usually reliable expert friends. For the regular user, this thing actually seems to be functioning better than XP. The thing I'm most happy about is the wake-up time after Sleep mode, it's really short. Finally.
I can't say that I wouldn't still be expecting bad things to happen. But, so far, so good.

A great 360 image of the new Airbus 380's cockpit. This is so cool. I guess the video screen right in the middle is from a camera on their vertical stabilizer, pointed so that they can see all the engines. Or is it the plane ahead? The view from the cockpit windows is probably even worse than in the 747.

There's some April Fools' Day news going around and it's not even Christmas yet.
According to the Finnish news media Mr. Harkimo of the Jokerit organization is speculating about joining this new Russo-European league in the future. He's also mentioned the possibility of having two different teams for the two leagues.
Remember EHL? Remember Titanic? Two Jokerit teams? Yeah, sure!
